Professorship in Land Resource Planning at National Chengchi University, Taiwan
The Department of Land Economics at National Chengchi University is seeking one full-time faculty member and invites applications for a position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank, with an area of specialization in Spatial Planning with additional expertise in one of the following fields: Big Data Analytics, Climate Change, Environmental Planning, Urban and Rural Planning.
Expected courses include three undergraduate courses, including Public Facilities Planning and two other courses proposed by the applicant (at least one course must be taught in English), and one English-taught graduate course in Big (Spatial) Data Analytics and Sustainable Urban Planning.
The applicant is expected to hold a Ph.D. degree and is required to submit the following documents:
1. Curriculum vitae and a list of previous academic publications (three copies)
2. Doctoral dissertation (three copies)
3. Major academic publications (three copies)
4. Photocopy of Ph.D. degree certificate
5. Both Ph.D. and Master's Degree academic transcripts
6. Two reference letters
7. Photocopy of teacher’s certificate issued by the Ministry of Education, R.O.C, if available
The shortlisted applicants will be informed in due time for an interview. Applicants who come for the interview shall submit the presentation materials and teaching plan in advance.
For applicants who hold a degree from overseas, the degree certificates need to be verified by ROC’s embassies and missions overseas in accordance with the resolution of the University’s committee for teacher evaluation.
The appointment is expected to begin on August 1, 2025.
